North Korea has fired an intercontinental ballistic missile, which flew for 86 minutes – the longest flight recorded yet – before falling into waters off its east, South Korea and Japan said.
The ICBM launch violated UN curbs and came at a time of deteriorating relations between the two Koreas.
Seoul’s defence ministry said the test was intended to develop weapons that “fire farther and higher”.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said in a rare same-day report on state media that the launch shows “our will to respond to our enemies” and described it as “appropriate military action”.

Banned by UN not NK.
Why dont you say Israel fired white Phosphorus bombs into lebanon
Banned by whom?
The amount of Russian, North Korean and Chinese trolls and bots in the comment section is terrifying. It’s very interesting that they are all saying the same “North Korea has the right to defend itself”, “Banned by whom?-western hypocrisy”. Well let me tell you something, in North Korea every single person, except for government officials live so poorly, that they don’t even have money for a little slice of bread . Second saying that North Korea was banned to use its missiles by “western hypocrisy” is like saying to Hitler, Stalin, Ghenguis Khan and etc. that they they can’t slaughter and kill everyone and also how what does western hypocrisy mean.? Third saying that Israel, a democracy can’t defend itself against the Islamist terrorist regime in Iran and their proxies throughout the Middle East, that its own people hate is hypocrisy.
