  1. The drawer joint that remained unnamed is called a Knapp joint. It was popular in the late 1800s as machine woodworking was gaining popularity.

    1. @teddtheninja “Me” is used correctly here in place of “I am” since it’s the object and informal.
“Than” could also be prepositional and not conjunctive here.
Conjuctional: “this book is much better than I am as a resource.”
Prepositional: “this book is a much better resource than I am.”

“Me” is perfectly acceptable with his use of it here. Not sure why you commented this anyway.

      Cheers

    2. @morothane1 technically you are correct. i commented to be cheeky because offerman made a point of saying “i would first correct your grammar”; therefore the context is most certainly not informal making his prior use of informal grammar stick out like a sore thumb. you also didnt use “me” in either of your examples. i genuinely appreciate you taking the time to clarify and please know this is all my grandmothers fault for rigidly correcting my grammar as a child. if youd like i can send you her email so you can explain the difference to her as well😂😂

also i appreciate the “cheers” but i dont drink; perhaps thats why my grammar is correct.

    3. ^last part was 100% a joke, just poking fun. i genuinely appreciate your comment. im simply being facetious.

  2. I’m glad to hear you say “I hate stain”. I’m a long time woodworker who never uses stain. If I want something that has the color of walnut or cherry, I use walnut or cherry.
