At last- an original episode *WITH* Sterling Drug commercials! 😃
We were quite happy to find it in the collection.
So am I! Now I know what the sponsor I.D.’s looked like during the opening and closing titles before they were chopped out for syndication.
As seen on ABC’s Friday night schedule at 8pm(et).
The sound quality of this episode is marred by background racket unrelated to the story.
Yes, you are correct. This 72 year old 16mm film has the dreaded “rust spot” deterioration. You can see the spots in the beginning of the titles in the picture area. These spots have migrated to the soundtrack and causes noise in the soundtrack. This is probably due to inadequate washing when the film was processed 70 plus years ago. We used 2 filters in Adobe Premier to tone down the noise, but since this is more than likely the only surviving film print of this episode, as they say “it is what it is.”
It was fine@@MoviecraftInc
Amazing! The bad guys and the good guys share the same Nash car…things ain’t like they used to be…😄
Apparently, Roland Reed was filming the series on a VERY tight budget.
The Buicks and Mercury’s are at the highway patrol.
28:32, baking soda.
The box and label claimed it contained “the equivalent of 75% Genuine Phillips’ Milk of Magnesia together with Calcium and Magnesium Carbonates”.
And baking soda, no doubt.
A disgrace not to have given Willie Best a credit as Corpus.
He didn’t have much of a role in this episode. Willie was one of Roland Reed’s favorite actors, as he appeared frequently on Stu Erwin’s “TROUBLE WITH FATHER” and “MY LITTLE MARGIE”.
Loved this oldie! The commercials were the icing on the cake!!!!
