  2. Funny, Haneke is one to talk about manipulation when he’s one of the most manipulative directors around.

  3. Don’t get me started on Steven Spielberg. Isn’t he the one who introduced us to the summer blockbuster, ending the glorious era of 70s cinema? .. Don’t get me started with his manipulative and SAPPY style of empty entertainment.. the exact opposite of cinema.

  4. Yeah, audience should be given space to think for themselves without oppresive extreme editing doing all the thinking and imagination for them

  5. I love coming back to this weird pseudo-roundtable. It is the basically the perfect example of an artist vs. a group of hacks; something that weirdly gives me hope.
