ABOUT WIRED
WIRED is where tomorrow is realized. Through thought-provoking stories and videos, WIRED explores the future of business, innovation, and culture.
Many English words have their origins in Scandinavian words, brought by the vikings. For example, wind/window, egg, skin, skull, sky, law, gun, sister, husband, fellow, thrall, ransack, they, them, take get, give, call, hit, want, hail, gust, mist, fjord, keel and oar.
With regards to the garderobe, they were often built over a shaft that was constructed on the outer wall of the castle. The people who had to clean it sold the material as ‘nightsoil’ -which was used as fertilizer. It was called nightsoil because it had to be spread on the fields at night, otherwise the heat of the sun would make the smell MUCH worse.
Um, I think a “Spanish Tickler” is something entirely different. LOL

So they just sounded Irish? That was Irish cadence.
WOW, just realised how butchered us Aussies sound lol.
3:31 a few years ago, when I started lecturing at a uni, I was exhausted and somehow got myself into a medieval peasant bi-phasal sleeping pattern. When I got used to it, I was the best rested and thee MOST productive of my entire life.

EVEN AFTER A PANDEMIC PEOPLE STILL DON’T UNDERSTAND VIRUSES. THEY ARE LIVING THINGS WITH DNA. SO ARE WE. BUT BECAUSE OF SUCH A VARIANCE IN HUMAN DNA THE VIRUS CANNOT KILL EVERYONE. SO VACCINES ARE NOT IMPORTANT TO HUMAN SURVIVAL THEY ARE DESIGNED TO LOWER THE DEATH RATE SO THOSE IN CHARGE CANNOT BE BLAMED FOR TOO MUCH DEATH. IT SOUNDS COLD I KNOW BUT THOSE ARE RAW FACTS. I GOT MY JAB DURING COVID.
Such Dr. Dorsey Armstrong is such a pleasant guest, love how she’s familiar with the lore of GOT too
So Turks trying to learn English are actually fluent in Medieval English? 😅
