Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon announced Thursday he will ask the court to resentence Erik and Lyle Menendez decades after the brothers were sentenced to life without parole for the 1989 killings of their parents in Beverly Hills. The news comes following weeks of renewed attention to the case after Netflix released a drama series and documentary about the brothers.

They’ll be home before Thanksgiving ❤
Seriously? This DA. who sounds like he did voice overs for Kermit the Frog, felt pressure from the voting constituency. And then there’s that Hollywood movie deal, about to be released. The Menendez Brothers premeditated, those murders. They and there attorney know, that they could have easily complained to the authorities about the abuse, and family services would have removed them, from an abusive home. Lyle after receiving his parents blood money, bought commercial property in Princeton NJ., while it was reported, Eric allegedly bought pro tennis lessons, and jewelry. Grieving families are not qualified to determine the facts. Is California now going to resentence and release every incarcerated victim, of child abuse? In my opinion, this story has always been about two spoiled silver spoons, who couldn’t achieve their dads expectations, as responsible young men, contributors, to society. It sends a bad signal creating precedent, too. Rich parents as a result, better start looking over their shoulders, hiding estate plans, from skeeming children.
Millions of women globally have been repeatedly s*xually abused at the hands of their fathers while their mothers were aware. It’s happening and has been happening for centuries, yet we don’t hear many cases of women retaliating like this.
More so of the opposite response is true. Women usually tend to: forgive, falsely internalize, isolate, develop addictions, become depressed, disassociate, seek solace through religion, start charities for similar victims, and so on. There are a range of trauma responses from women and the vast majority never involve harming the perpetrators.
WE CAN ALL AGREE THAT PHYSICAL & MENTAL ABUSE IS INHUMANE.
Was: brutally murdering their parents at the of 18 and 21, concocting an elaborate deceptive plot, and living indulgently for 2 years after their crime, justified?
Do they really need to be resentenced?
Have they truly been rehabilitated?
Is psychiatric confinement an option?
What messages are we sending to our society?
Does this particular case really “highlights the importance of challenging decisions and seeking truth”?
It’s definitely something to think about.
Keep them LOCK UP
THIS IS HORSESHIT!!!! what would Jose and Kitty say????? THE VICTIMS MATTER!!!! THEY SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED THE DEATH PENALTY!!! ABUSE IS A BS LUE FROM HELL.
@@nici-b5i The victims own families want the killer’s out. What does that say?
