Morgan Tremaine, a former TMZ employee, testified in Johnny Depp’s defamation trial against Amber Heard about the leak of information related to Heard filing a restraining order against Depp and video showing Depp smashing cabinets at their home. Tremaine testified that TMZ received video of Depp smashing cabinets and it was quickly put up on their website. Tremaine said the only way it would’ve been posted so quickly was if it was sent directly by the copyright owner, which in this case was Heard because she took the video on her phone.

Very well spoken, clear, calm , I like him
You have to wonder how Amber got so famous when she can’t act for toffee.
My favorite witness in this trial
So I was a little confused why Amber Heard sending that video would be significant…but then I remembered this is a defamation case against Johnny Depp.
It appears what Tremaine is confirming here is “This video was sent to us, but was edited prior to being sent to us.” This is important when in conjunction with the same video being shown earlier in the case, but was MUCH longer (moment at beginning and end with snickering). So the fact it was edited (presumably by Amber Heard) contributes to the concept that Amber was trying to defame Johnny Depp to TMZ/everyone.
Or am I missing something else? Sure it’s neat listening to him call Amber a “b-list celebrity” and all, but having a proper context to this part of the case is important, and I could be wrong about some stuff.
