Jason Segel joins GQ as he revisits some of the most iconic characters from his career so far: from his breakout role in _Freaks and Geeks_ as Nick Andopolis to fostering the role of Marshall Eriksen for all 9 seasons of _How I Met Your Mother._
“I went from being 24 to 33. I came into that show as a young guy, not really knowing anything,” says Segel as he reflects on his time working _How I Met Your Mother._ “I would be writing a movie whilst shooting _How I Met Your Mother_ and then a hiatus would come and I’d shoot the movie I wrote, and I’d get out of there in time to start the next season!” Watch the full episode of GQ’s Iconic Characters as Jason Segel breaks down his most iconic movie roles.

I was so disappointed when i found out he’s Jewish. And most of the cast on how i met your mother as well.
All rise for Judge Fudge
I loved him as Mike in SLC Punk!
Yes, SLC Punk!
Jason… thank you. Just……. thank you!
I didn’t realize he and John C Reilly worked together because as i started watching this I realized he could easily take dramatic roles that’s John C excels at, humility and humanity to a dramatic role that could be played too serious, making the character believable, I’m thinking like a Mr. Cellophane role. Life beats down the character, but there is that glimmer of optimism despite the contrary. Also, any Jimmy Stewart esque roles ie Mr Smith Goes to Washington
