I wish the idea of animation is being not just for kids was embraced here as it seems is in the rest of the world. i remember when Akira came out, people were blown away that an animated movies can wrestle with such mature content. decades and people keep saying the same thing every time some animated content blows up. even worse, not only are is majority of animation still aimed at younger audiences, instead of making something new, they are remaking everything in live action, disrespecting the reasons the creators chose animation as the media for the story in the first place

  2. Really appreciated how candidly Domee spoke about Elio’s struggles. I agree with her that hopefully KPDH’s success encourages big studios to take more risks.
