Logan Cooke hits a misdirection punt Like I’ve never seen before to hit one of the greatest punts I’ve ever seen… I honestly am just so baffled by this.

I’m seeing a few comments along the lines of “The snap was to his left and he just went with it”. So that as a punter is absolutely something that is just forbidden, you see coverage players all release towards where you’re going to kick, meaning they’re not only running that direction but giving their potential blockers leverage on the opposite side. So lets say you’re supposed to kick the ball right and instead kick it left, not only are your players out of position, but now you actually just set up blocks. So in no world would a punter just decide to kick it to the opposite end of the field unless it was already planned and as you can see from the first punt in this clip, he punts it right, everyone releases right, then watch this punt and his gunners release to the left further showing it was planned from the start. Next time I’ll go into further detail about how I know it’s a trick punt.
Issac, if you get a chance, the Friday night CFL game between Edmonton and Toronto ends with the punter as hero in overtime. I think you would enjoy taking a look.
I honestly don’t understand why punters don’t get inspiration from football. they literally have so many ways to kick the ball and have perfected the art. obviously it’s not the exact same but the idea to get a ball to spin left, high, right or low without focusing on steps can be transferred to the NFL.
@@X61n78- Brandon Aubrey the kicker for the Cowboys has been doing new stuff that’s inspired by his time playing soccer, that’s as close as we’re probably gonna get with the Aussie revolution in punting

Didn’t you know the comment section is full of experts on everything. Gotta start taking notes
@@X61n78-The ball is literally a different shape. If you kick a football like a soccer ball you’re in for a very bad time.

Watch Shane lechlers punts. He has the GOAT because he actually makes balls check up.
Punter turns his foot to the left after the snap “ OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THAT!!!”
Jags lost by 3. It was a great punt though
One of the few bright spots of our season
