This dance routine to me pays homage to New Edition. New Edition has been known to have very tightly dance moves so to take this on when others like Beyoncé did the same in one of her videos says a lot about the appreciation many have for New Edition.
The whole idea of the modern boy band was build upon the foundation of New Edition. Without them there would ve no New kids on the block, NSYNC, and many others. Even the so-called K-Pop phenomenon pace homage to New Edition.
