That’s a terrible definition. I have donuts in my kitchen, therefore a donut isn’t ultra processed?
I wanted to do something special and cream cheese icing from scratch. There’s only 4 ingredients: cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract, and sugar. After discovering this, I decided to look at the Betty Crocker stuff just in case. I was surprised to see that not only is cream cheese not in it, but neither is butter or vanilla extract. It was just a long list of chemicals and palm oil. Chemicals that tickle your taste buds in the right places to make it TASTE like cream cheese icing. Once I realized this I couldn’t have it again. And, it’s been that way with a lot of things these days so I’m cooking a lot at home from scratch
