How Police Corruption Actually Works (UK) | How Crime Works

Alastair Morgan, whose brother was murdered in 1987, and Neil Woods, a former undercover police officer who now investigates police corruption, speak to Insider about how police corruption actually works.

In the interview, Neil broke down in detail all the types of corruption he saw, and even carried out, while working as an undercover police officer for 14 years in the UK.

During his time in the police, Neil came to the conclusion that most “corruption within the police is caused by the money from the illicit drugs market.”

Alastair Morgan spoke of how his brother, Daniel Morgan, was murdered with an axe in a pub carpark in South London in 1987.

He told Insider, “Within three weeks [of the murder] I was convinced, because of the events that took place, there had been police involvement in Daniel’s murder. Which was a terrifying prospect.”

At the time of the murder, Daniel ran a detective agency with her business partner, Jonathan Rees. Alastair believes Jonathan Rees and corrupt police officers were involved in the murder.

Since Daniel Mogan’s murder, there have been five separate police investigations. Jonathan Rees and Detective Sergeant Sid Fillery have been arrested multiple times. Each time the charges have been dropped.

In 2014, Jonathan Rees and Sid Fillery received six-figure damages from the Met police after bringing a malicious prosecution claim against them.

In 2021 an independent inquiry found that the Met Police was “institutionally corrupt” in its handling of the investigation into the murder of Daniel Morgan.

Alastair is currently in the process of suing the Metropolitan Police. The murder is still unsolved.

I looked it up and the Morgan lawsuit was settled via mediation for an undisclosed but “significant six-figure sum”. I can’t imagine this is in any way satisfying to Alastair and his family except in so much as to end the matter. I wish them all the best; they are incredible, strong people with more character than I can even imagine.

This is a dark, depressing look into the realities of policing. I appreciate the view, and the interviews were great, but this is so sad.

I did have high regards for the police department, but one incident, that happened to me, opened my eyes, now I don’t trust them at all, shame

Now I do know Putin is an american police officer as well

In Danmark in Europe ALL JUDGES at Local city court ARE MURDERERS AND when they themselves personally against the accused one civilian citizen break the law §§§§ then later they get rewarded ( the more of SACRIFICIAL RITUALS = the BETTER Life for themselves PERSONALLY) by higher position in Court system or accept to be BRIBED BY STATECOUNCIL members whom themselves is represented by FALSE FAKE ADOPTED long time ago as kids and later also as if some became Royals but whom in reality while whitewashing dirty money are also institutional SexTRAFFICKERS of other civilian citizen´s family members into crime/ poverty/ illness and exactly because of those corrupt criminals in Top Institutions Jobs want to steal another one robbed one´s bloodLineage´s history heritage decency or what ever it can be as ricoCHETTERING/ HIPPA crime in order to escape Karma DEBT etc and in that way they achieve their personal whiteWashed future … And religious Leaders in ALL and EACH Religion in rotten Kingdom of Danmark are also involved in all of that… Also those in Vatican each and every on their webpage, are looking as some ORGANISED CRIMINAL who is in life long prison but only dressed Up in that one religious clothes for theater acting …. The weird thing is, why is the military not been trained to be put on the streets in Europe already decades ago and clean up in between dirty Judges and dirty Police Bosses ?
