The story was okay, to me didn’t warrant a movie. The acting in the movie was amazing, particularly Glenn and Amy putting in masterful performances, and the rest of the cast doing quite well. Ron Howard as usual did a very good job. So again to me it’s just the story, it’s kind of interesting? More than my life, sure. But a movie?
Why not. It a story that unfortunately many can relate to but also a victorious outcome of overcoming difficult circumstances.
@@brendawilson2828 I was born into a trailer park and didn’t really get to know my mom, raised by a bi-sexual hippy who did not want to be a dad. Nearly homeless, at one point even living in a storage pod of a sailboat, I had malnutrition so bad that it left me with permanent damage.
Growing up I had to do hospice care on THREE family members going through cancer, sacrificing sleep, at times when no one else in the family would help them.
My father died, having literally scammed me out of money and bragging to it to my brother before he passed away.
I’m 55 now and very successful, a grandparent of four, living in a big beautiful house next to a golf course with my wife and dogs, loving life.
You could not PAY me to watch a movie of my life directed by Ron Howard and acted out by A listers. JD’s story is slightly more interesting than mine, IMO. They did a VERY good job with the story they had.
I liked getting an insight into who might be our next VP. But I can’t say it was a great movie. It was okay, thanks to Ron, Meryl and Amy for the most part.

I watched this movie a while back. Didn’t know J.D. Vance. I cried and cried – that movie was so moving. Then he was announced as TRUMP running mate. I did not know that until yesterday!
