I submitted 4 beers this year to the National Homebrew Competition. How did they do? This time, I’ll be tasting them alongside judges feedback!

If it weren’t for kegs I wouldn’t do this hobby. Packaging is an art.
Well said!
Could you please comment on those 2 packaging ideas: 1) PET bottles 2) Mylar bags.
Bags would not be accepted at the competition and I’m not sure if plastic bottles are either. I saw neither at the final round
Gotta re-brew the beers that advance to finals, makes it fresher and you can utilize your feedback from regionals
That’s one method for sure, but with the channel I’ve got no time for that
Just recently found your channel and so far I have enjoyed the brew day ones. Have to say I really appreciate this one the most. Having entered NHC sine 2016 minus the “combined” year I appreciate you sharing the evaluations and your comments. Chuckled with the “I did ferment at the right temp”” with a hinge of sarcasm. So many feedback notes I laugh at recommendations for things I already do. As for the score and what made ti to finals and what didn’t, for comparison I had an Best Bitter make it finals in 2019 that took gold. Was actually there for the ceremony with several of my Brew club members which was incredible! The first round score was a 36 taking Bronze and the Final was a 42. I actually rebrewed that for finals so apparently fresh was the key. Funny thing is in 2018 I scored a 42 for a Helles Export that did not make it past regionals, crazy! I currently have a Marzen that has taken many golds and a best of show locally, Washington State that I can’t seem to get to the finals. In the event you actually see this comment, I always assumed that the judging was with chilled beer and then rested at room temp for the styles that do best there. Are they actually judges at room temp? That may explain why some of mine have the lower score.
