MARTIN IS CONTRACTUALLY PROHIBITED FROM RELEASING ANY MORE VOLUMES IN THE ASOIAF SERIES UNTIL ALL OF THE TELEVISION SHOWS ARE COMPLETELY FINISHED. HBO DOES NOT WANT NEW BOOKS TO CUT INTO THEIR VIEWERSHIP. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PLOT OF THE NEW BOOK WILL DIFFER FROM THAT OF THE SHOW. SO DONT EXPECT ANYTHING FURTHER UNTIL MARTIN HAS WRUNG EVERY LAST DOLLAR HE CAN HET FROM HBO.

I’m a huge fan of GRRM. I got into the show late 2015ish. Thanks to my wife, who reminded me about the show because I was busy watching Vikings at the time. I was definitely caught up in the cultural phenomenon that was GOT, like a lot of people during that time. It is a bit of a bummer WOW isn’t complete after all this time but I do believe it’s great to know GRRM is working on projects. One thing about staying busy I can attests to is, you get projects done that are of personal importance to you. Cheers to GRRM. Best of luck to him.

He finished his part of that project years ago and delivered the world building to Fromsoftware (the developer) and they released the game back in 2022.
