  1. He obviously gave this interview before the brinks truck showed up. Can you blame him?? I mean really! Most likely the highest paid College (baseball) coach in the history of college (baseball) coaching. Anyone that says they would turn down 30 plus mill is lying..

  2. Remove the emotions…and the hate. Aggie Land has a new AD. JS is not one his hires. JS did a heckuva in College Station. Texas and OU are now in the SEC. Personally, I think they are about to make huge inroads. Hypothetically; JS stays, has a couple of sub par years, TA owes him nothing and makes a move. The CDC JS relationship at a school like Texas with the resources and the Baseball tradition is probably once in a lifetime. TA leaving Nebraska…I mean…maybe the most loyal fans in America, tells us he’s about business and money 💰….yeah JS could have been more genuine at the presser. I’m a UT fan lifer. I would not have gone after JS. The other side of the coin is we have to get our rivals coach to win. I don’t like that. There are other more than capable candidates. Lastly, there are some FUs in play. First was when Aggies bolted to SEC. No lie, that was felt. Also did it during a year in football when Ags were better on paper and had that last game in College Station. Well, we know who got that FU. Trust me there are some of the cigar smokers saying we effed those guys. At the end of the day is about the CDC relationship and 💰. Sadly, loyalty is fading away. Hookem

  3. Did he have no integrity when he left TCU for A&M? What was he supposed to say? Should he have said “I am out. I am done with the cult that is A&M. I am tired of College Station and I can’t stand Trev Alberts for firing my Assistant AD, so I am leaving for Texas.” Would that have made you happier?

  4. As a longhorn fan, I do not like this move. Texas usually doesnt go after a rival’s coach to fill a position. Its beneath us. That is like TX firing Tom Herman and going after Lincoln Riley.

  5. Hypocrisy at its finest. The drawn out answer smelled of being bought by Texas. I don’t blame a coach or player going after their $$$ but keep the answers short .Paul was spot on.
