  1. Japanese watches are so underrated, everyone’s talking about Swiss this Swiss that but they never mention a great watch brand unless it’s a widely known clothes brands side product.

  2. 19:40. Not very creative? I beg to differ! First wheel, Second wheel, Third wheel- That is some A+ nomenclature if ya ask me!

  3. Just getting into watches but what turns me off is that mechanical watches require maintenance and you can’t really do it yourself. With a quartz I will just change the battery and I’m done. Just a rant, that’s all.

  4. This comparison is a bit misleading because it uses a Miyota 821A, which is an entry-level movement, against an ETA 2824, which is mid-tier Swiss. The 821A has some plastic parts, but that does not represent all Japanese movements. A fair comparison would be with the Miyota 9015, Seiko 6R35, or Orient F6 series, which are all fully metallic and in-house.
