  1. I was 13 years old when my mother died December 22nd 1969 and I remember feeling sad and not knowing how to react. A few months later this song came out and I wept for her. After many years now I still weep for her when I hear your song,
For My mother Eleanor Elizabeth Johnson.
    Thank you Paul.

  2. This is let it be! You’re the first people on earth to hear this song! This is like watching da Vinci paint the Mona Lisa right in front of your bloody eyes! Can you not just be quiet for a single second?!

  3. I woke up the other day hearing that song. It stayed on my mind for hours. I had been very stressed. What a blessing that sing is.

  4. A few years after my husband died, after I had remarried into an unworkable relationship, I had a similar experience. The one I’d lost came shining, so real. Eye’s telling me I was doing well, would be fine.Meant so much, still does.

  5. ❤I heard this story only recently. I’ve loved the Beetles all my childhood because my uncle had bought almost all their records so it was awesome and “Let It Be” ( and ” letter B” on Sesame Street 😁) was always one of my favourites. There’s something so calming and reassuring about it and NOW I get it!🫡💓💓 Wonderful song🎉. We all need reassurance at some point in our lives and this song is IT!❤❤💥

  6. Awweee❤ you Paul! Always have always will! You and the Beatles are still a favorite for sure🥰 Thank you for sharing this! My heart goes out to anyone who loses their mother at such a young age! Beautiful message❤️😇❤️

  7. The 1st thing I did when I woke up this morning 11.29.95 I listened & sang this amazing song!!!!! I always wondered who “Mother Mary” was………

  8. Just sitting with the notion of a world that really could just let things be. So much stress and sadness would be gone.

  9. I know it was his mom’s name, but I think of our Holy Mother St. Mary as the one who says “let it be”.
