I Love my ReoLink and the Keen line too
I use Deco TPLink Mesh
Nice!
Think you are missing OnVif support. When you use this your camera can be compatible with several NVRs. Also AI support. UniFi has AI detection support. I can see they are on number 2 but for the number 5 and 4 you dont mention anything about OnVif. There are also the question about support for NVR like Synology, Blue iris and other NVR. Starting to reach the number of cameras where i like to any camera can be compatible with any NVR. Dont want to be depending on one NVR
Think this should be two separate videos, one for cameras and one for NVR. Cameras should be compatible with several NVR and NVR should be compatible with multiple with multiple cameras.. All my cameras are wired. Dont do WiFi.
I use HikVision cameras with UnIfi. I used to use Synology as NVR. Unifi does not have compatible with other NVR that i dont like. Think you also miss out on Axis, think London underground use it almost 100%. Unifi can integrate AI detection to 3rd part cameras as well.
Thanks for a good video
Again this video is for the masses, so I didn’t want to go too much in the weeds. There are a thousand more things I could mention, but It would have been a 45 minute video and I didn’t want to confuse people who aren’t so tech literate.
But I appreciate the comment & thanks for watching!
UniFi at #2?! Had to check I was watching the right channel 😂
😂 It took them this long to win me over! They’ve been way too proud of themselves for YEARS. I’ve always thought they were completely overrated. But I feel they are finally living up to the hype and I’m very happy that time has come.
The Eufy ecosystem is really frustrating with their P2P failures. They authenticate to the cloud even through you’re viewing cameras over a LAN network and there should be no reason to ping their servers to view local cameras while your on your WiFi. Eufy’s reliance on this means their cameras cut out or don’t connect and it’s becoming increasingly frequent. I would highly recommend researching Eufy before you buy their products.!
I can only use either WiFi or cellular
Yes customer service isn’t that great but the cameras are good
For which brand?
I use Melaleuca’s Security System
Never heard of Melaleuca. Just looked them up though. Looks like they use alarm.com products. If that’s true, I’m personally not a fan. Alarm.com has a horrible reputation & they screwed me over when I was first starting out.
Good arguments, still standig behind reolink for my situation. no cloud crap, excellent home assistant integration and if you do not buy the cheapest units, build quality is very nice.1 year in operation and no problems with IR lights.
Glad you’re happy with your setup!
Thanks for sharing your experience and advice! I’ll be ordering a system soon, I hope
You’re very welcome. Thanks for watching!
So if i understand it right- do i want that country where i live can spy on me or lets say china where i not plan to go or to live i will pick china every time. At least they can not put me in jail. But i speak for my self
What?
Bought my Alibi from George a year or 2 ago and installed it myself. What a great simple system . Hardest part was climbing up in the attic but it was worth it. Called Texas for tec support. Very satisfied, $400 per camera but worth it plus the nvr . 4 cameras and nvr $2500 for their best quality. Also no monthly fees and they notify me of the free updates. One day by accident i came across this channel and decided to take a chance after hearing George praising Alibi so much . Im a set it and forget it guy and this has been one of my favorite purchases because it works. Sorry about my rambling, Greg
So glad you’re enjoying the system! Thanks for the comment.
Unifi has been stepping up lately! I really like their eco system! Keep up the reviews! 👍
They have been stepping it up indeed! Like I said in the video, it’s been a love-hate relationship for me for years. But they are finally making products that live up to the hype and I’m very happy they are doing so.
Might be doing business with you soon, thanks for sharing
I’d love to chat whenever you’re ready. Thanks for the comment & thanks for watching!
I like the Alibi system. I wonder what a nice 7 camera system would cost. ❤❤
My contact info link is in the description of this video. Feel free to call me next week & we can discuss.
I cant run POE wires and dont have a ditch witch to run wires to my poles so solar wifi it is….
Just be careful of WiFi in that situation. Depending on the distance, you might want to go cellular. Eufy & Reolink both have good solar options for both.
@GeorgeLangabeerI went with the s4 solar for my needs .
@G@GeorgeLangabeerbut if i had my own house on my own property, would definitely run POE and have a couple of ALPR cameras up at the driveway entrance
Thank you for all you do George! We appreciate your honest reviews!
And thank you for all you do! You’ve always taken good care of me….especially when times were rough. Forever grateful.
@GeorgeLangabeermy favorite account! Customers like you make my job easier! ❤
Just wanted to throw this out there…A lot of professional camera installers will ask me why Hikvision & Dahua are NOT on this list, as many of them still use those 2 brands. Neither Hikvision or Dahua are NDAA compliant, so that’s an automatic disqualification for me. When it comes to the professional grade level, NDAA compliance is a must in my eyes.
Thanks
You’re welcome
