How the US captured Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro | BBC News

For months, US spies had been monitoring Venezuelan President’s Nicolás Maduro’s every move.

A small team, including one source within the Venezuelan government, had been observing where the 63-year-old slept, what he ate, what he wore and even, according to top military officials, “his pets”.

Then, in early December, a planned mission dubbed “Operation Absolute Resolve” was finalised.

The order from US President Donald Trump to begin the mission finally came at 22:46 EST on Friday.

  1. I kind of wish it was Starmer the yanks took, Maduro floods countries with illegal substances but Starmer is responsible for colluding to destroy our culture. Take your pick who is worse 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧➡️

  2. Ask the Wayuu, Warao, or the Pemón how they feel about the so-called “nation of Venezuela” – you are trampling over their rights.

  3. Joe Biden had a $50m bounty on his head.

Maduro lost the last election by 80% and didn’t step down.

Thousands of people tortured and killed under his regime.

Venezuelans are literally partying in the streets.
