i love how when shane and ilya get asked if they’ve been in love since rookie season (summer before) they both strongly deny but they were clearly hooked onto each other from day 1
Well being attracted to and having a crush on someone is very different from being in love with them.

Shane was fangirling in the scene when he first met Ilya, who was smoking outside. I’m sure he had a crush on him already.
