I’m surprised that was the only explanation you gave for castling. There was def more to explain.
Castling can only be done as the king’s & rook’s first move. If those pieces already moved, they cannot move back to their original space & then attempt to castle. That would be an illegal move.

In Croatia we call it “Konj”, Littilary meaning “Horse”. Bishop? We call “lovac”, meaning hunter. Why? Because “bishop” means “biskup”, which is church figure. Why would you have church figure in battlefield?

At the beginner level 1.b4 is bad, at the advanced level 1.b4 is bad, at my intermediate level in bullet when I play 1.b4 Black often just plays whatever they were automatically going to play while completely ignoring the fact that I played 1.b4 and I get a free kingside rook with the queenside bishop.
