Who was that man in the hat & coat running in the dark during the opening credits if Batman-The Movie (1966)?
I think he represents the crooks that Batman and Robin go after.
I feel like the guy in thr coat, if its anyone. It is deadshot. He was made in 1950 with a coat and a hat very simliar. He kinda looked like a magician
I feel like the remch coat man is Joe chill. He existed at the time of the movie. And the guys face looks like a face he could and has had. He has no constent design however. So it all fits him as the suspect.

As much as I liked the Batman TV series… I also liked the Green Hornet TV Series. GH was a little more serious crime drama. It might have been a hit had the series come out directly after Batman’s third and last season ended. GH had Bruce Lee… it could have been a hit.

Adam west will always be MY Batman, I grew up on Lego Batman the video game and my grandma used to watch reruns of this show since my grandpa loved it and I watched it everytime with her. RIP Adam west you were iconic

What’s interesting about the 1966 Batman film is in the 60s it was pretty common for TV shows to get cinema release of special 2 part episodes, often with added scenes. Man from UNCLE did about 6 films, and they also did this with The Saint, Tarzan and a few other shows. What sets Batman apart is they created a brand new story for the movie, which I believe came out between seasons 1 and 2.
