In this video, I wire 100 car batteries in parallel to generate more electric current than a lightning bolt!

thanks to @TheBackyardScientist and @allenpan for help with the experiments!

  1. at 28:36 he blows a ring of smoke, I would cover the batteries with all this molten meltal but wow, glad youre ok and amazing video. Keep having fun and staying safe.

  2. You terrify me, but it’s because you’re incredible and doing things I would never. Thank you for satisfying the depths of my curiosity so I don’t have to.

  3. I built a solar panel array (soldering the individual felt cells and everything) and had four 12v marine batteries, two in series x2 then wired to a common block for each positive and negative so I had two 24v banks. I had everything I needed wired up like a generator, to click on when the power went out with a transfer switch.

I had the batteries on my concrete floor in the basement and couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t keep them charged. I found out after I disassembled it that laying the batteries on the ground will drain them.

  4. 125 KV at 50 amps and it will ionize the oxygen until the arc finds you up to 30 feet away. Then the bolt will be you.
Your experiment is pretty dangerous. But dont ever introduce transformers into the equation. Electricity will find you and thats it with high voltage and even 50 amp.
