  1. This was such a fun video to watch. Kudos to Joy for being so clear and easy to understand. Also, kudos to the editors for making those labels as she danced a sequence. I especially liked how they bounced along when she was doing her variations and turns.

  2. I would love to try ballet, but I have so many issues (flat feet, bunion on left foot, knock knees, piriformis syndrome… probably all related) that I would likely just injure myself lol. Back to the low impact elliptical 😂

  3. People, I can’t tell you how hard it is to extend your leg like that. I went to a beginner ballet class today and I’m so in awe of this artform and these artists.

  4. so the lady was living in russia, supporting the war against Ukraine and you think it’s a good idea to feature her? Western admiration of ‘the great culture’ is leading you to a great war

  5. Pirouette and spotting in itself (without the pointee shoe) is not that high level, I think. I learned it in jazz, and even in some pair dances, long before I went to ballet course.

  6. as someone who IS an adult beginner in ballet, I can say I am floored by this video and also she is right, this DOES seem otherworldly and unattainable! I appreciate the words of encouragement

  7. Love her she my favorite ballerina and both our name is joy just spelled differently my spelled with a I at the end
