  1. I’m glad that the the pro-video games side of the debate was represented in this segment. Mitchell Robin’s perspective was certainly more logical than the alarmist take that Thomas Radecki (A clueless putz who also targeted horror movies and pro wrestling in the ’80s) presented. There are plenty of non-violent video games or games where killing enemies is not the object from the golden era – the Pac-Man series, Qix, Q*Bert, Pole Position (any racing game for that matter), Rally-X, Burgertime, Jungle King/Hunt, etc.

    1. KaijuEigaMan88 Yes.  If I remember correctly, the segment ET did on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween Atari cartridges was not as fair!  Sadly, I don’t have that segment.

    1. Playing Combat, Outlaw, and Yars Revenge is the reason I’m such a badass from a “society of warriors”! haha

  2. Irony on this is the US at the time and previous decade was filled with serial killers who never gamed at all lol The crack epidemic was a year or two away and the news was complaining about people playing frogger o,o

  3. That’s awesome. Stuff like this is priceless. To get a genuine look at how people were viewing such issues way back then.

It’s funny because those game aren’t even like mildly violent by today’s standards. Could you imagine if that dude saw today’s games? Ha
