There’s zero doubt Scottie is a great golfer but it is easier when most of the guys who know how to win are gone.
I still don’t know how much the newish grip will help, Scottie had already corrected the things that were killing him on the greens.
Jt —one of the few guys left on Tour who knows how to win— is a different story. That last putt Sunday said it all; missing inside 1o feet by a few cups. This Phil Kenyan makes a lot of sense for JT as his issues are very similar to Scotties. One thing is for sure JT needs a new putting coach and maybe just maybe he can make things a little tougher on the pga tour for Scottie in 2025.
If not unless Xander really steps up Scottie will continue to win more and more with less and less significance.

It’s interesting your takes on LIv making it sound like nothing changes. Keep in mind the guy who won the tour championship was not even on LIv the previous year in rahm. And his team which was a success as well did not even exist. He had a top euro on his team in hatton and a top amateur in surrat.

I noticed some big time amateurs in this qualifying event for LIv. And maybe they outright sign someone from the am game.

I will say the international series should reward the highest player not already qualified. Catlin has more than proven himself —no not a needle mover— but a well deserved qualifier.

Obviously the owgr and the majors continue to slow the exodus but it’s still happening.

One thing we learned this week is that Mr short game and his “sources” start more faulty rumors than everyone combined.
That being said who knows maybe Tony wants to wait a little longer. But in reality between his legal issue, the owgr/major issue, and the chance to pound on guys who don’t know how to win on Tour is a huge motivation to stay with Jay.

But make no mistake more bombs will be dropped sooner or later by LIv.
The landscape is still a challenge but we know by now LIv will continue to funnel lesser players out and bring more great players in. Not even Poults expects to be in LIv in 5 years. But bubba absolutely belongs next year. The guy is a multiple major champion who has been working back from injury. But Bubba has himself on a short leash.

It will be nice to see Tiger. Hit a few approach shots and putts. But talk about starting to lose the luster. I’m a big Tiger follower but Are we really still all that pumped about this ? And tgl?

I’m certainly wanting the podcasts to touch on the match coming up. I was surprised that did not get a mention here.
