I thought it was a very humanizing moment from CR7. The guy’s given so much to the game and I felt his pain in that moment. Big respect to him for still stepping up.

Ronaldo has put himself under huge amount of pressure by playing this Euros. This match could have backfired easily on him. If Costa doesn’t make those saves, then the entire world would have been on him for missing those penalties and not converting those free kicks. I think God just saved the GOAT (btw I am Messi fan so he is 2nd for me).

But u know lets say he wasn’t lucky………What does the Portuguese and CR7 fans want here ? A GOAT at 39 years old taking responsibility for loss ? Or would they rather prefer that GOAT to be out and then take their chances to win ?
Cause u know what, there is lack of creativity and too much of predictability when CR7 is there. Cause of out the panel said. And that diminishes the chances of winning, unless the team takes a learning from this match and steps up of CR7, like Argentina did after the loss against Saudi Arabia. I think that how the Portuguese team responses to CR7 after this match will either win them the tournament or would cause a terrible end to one of the greatest if not the greatest career in international football.

This further proves what everyone has said about ESPN. They have a true disdain or bias against CR7. Not only did the portugese team not look at Ronaldo in a negative way, they actually rallied behind him and motivated him. Even Cancelo ran to him at the end and celebrated. Stevie has never had anything positive to say about CR7. The guys 39 years old and has an uncomparable passion and drive. Even at 39 his goalscoring form for Al Nassr and Portugal is unmatched by the other portugese players including Ramos, Gonzales etc. His linkup play with Leao and Silva has been outstanding. Just need to finishing those chances and they will be a huge threat.
