Isn’t Pegula like 40 years old or something?
i’m just wondering how the tour is constantly increasing the prize money when the stadiums are consistently more towards empty than full.. is it sponsors only that are carrying these larger tour events? why not take the increase to the slams and trickle that down towards futures and challengers so those players can make enough to not be in so much debt as they build their games and career up?

If Pegula could retire from the tournament, she would in a heartbeat. I bet she’s thinking about it right now, but she knows it would upset the WTA and Saudi too much, she could lose her next match 6-1 6-1, there’s no desire there.
