Exhibition and practice sets are not Carlos things..lol
He’ll get better. Fast surfaces are his worst surface – remember Nadal never won WTF once.
Don’t compare rafa with alcaraz.. rafa didnt get wtf because of fed and Djokovic but alcaraz if he improve can win atleast 5 because except sinner and zverev no one can stop him
This was like 70% serve. Fritz is much taller therefore has a much better serve.
but boring to watch.
Alcaraz’s serve is quite vulnerable and is the only major weakness or achilles heel in his game . What Alcaraz lacks in his game is a top serve (aces, unreturnable serves that the opponent does not return to the court, free or easy points without playing and achieving a strategic advantage in points: there is simply not enough or too little of it) and because of that he always has problems on fast concrete and when he has to play with players who have a better serve than him (tall and short players with a strong and fast serve). If I think he dominates on fast concrete or wins titles, he must have a top serve. Alcaraz should copy the service technique of one of these players in agreement with the coach (Sampras, Federer or Oscar Borris for nadal’s serve from us open 2010) if he does not bring them to the team and keep Ferrer or replace Ferrer with those players.
All three are short players and are similar in height to Carlos (185 compared to Carlos’ height of 183) and these versions of the service are much better than Alcaraz’s. Carlos can’t serve like Roddick 188, Becker 191 or Ivanisevic 193 because they are tall players and because of that he should look up to players of similar height. Novak did not have a top serve, but with the arrival of Becker and Ivanišević, he improved that shot and that weakness was turned into an effective weapon. After the end of the Davis Cup and until the start of Australia, Alcaraz should use that break exclusively to work on the serve choosing one of the listed options.
Lo importante es ganar..no hacer payasadas para recibir halagos del publico
Alcaraz really needs to flatten up. All the greatest indoor players such as Novak and river played really flat indoors and if rewarded them. Heavy topspin just isn’t effective
