It’s surreal how none of these guys mentioned Stipe’s THREE YEAR lay off and his last fight getting BRUTALLY KO’ed.
Either would be factors alone and now you have both plus with a guy who really doesn’t even train properly and didn’t even have a training camp.
Also should be mentioned the weight Jon used to cut and the energy he had Vs the energy he has now not cutting anything. Probably why he wrestled early. Fuck a submission i see Jones going for some brutal ground-n-pound. Perhaps Stipe in his prime could withstand the wrestling but now you have an aged fighter coming off a vicious KO and 3 years away with limited training. Really feels like Stipe is just trying to get one last big paycheck before riding off into the fire.
4 years since win, no one he has won against is still in the ufc. My favorite though, he never lost 2 in a row and he lost his last, going by that, this is 100% win for him
