Vampires have been around a loooooooong time (they’re very tough to kill, as you may have heard), so it makes sense that filmmakers got tired of the basic vampire conventions. In this Inventory, we explore unusual vampire variations–those that stray far enough away from the original vampire rules as to be interesting… or silly… or crazy. mr vampire wasnt just a “variation” of western vampires. its a seperate folk legend/monster that in a way is more like a zombie. a “reanimated corpse”. the paper talisman is no more ridiculous than using a crucifix to repel vampires.

Blacula is actually a surprisingly good movie, I watched Watercoolers channel recommend it, and I have to admit, both Blacula, and the Sequel are good, even today, there is a lot of the stereotypical 70’s black people, but as they mention here, Blacula himself is a classy fellow, and often shows disdain for how some people are in the movie.
