World’s Toughest Boat Trips – Tanzania: https://youtu.be/uD0BvcOUsAo
This series explores some of the most fascinating and hard-core boat journeys on the planet. We undertake epic journeys by boat in some of the toughest environments on earth. During our journeys, we look at how the technology of boat travel has been adapted to survive, trade with, and connect isolated communities.
We join Holly Morris as she explores ancient Egyptian tombs and temples along the Nile. Starting in Aswan, Holly sails on a traditional felucca, visiting the camel market in Daraw and the temple at Kom Ombo with its mummified crocodiles. She continues on a 1920s paddlewheel steamship, visiting temples at Edfu and Esna, before reaching Luxor. Holly’s journey concludes with visits to the Luxor Temple and the Tomb of Tutankhamun, ending with a sunset sail on a historic Ottoman-era dahabiya.

King Tut says: ” Could someone cover my feet? My toes iS COLD!”
” oh she wants to row… sure.. we can do that….
Loving this. I did a similar trip all on the Felluca going the other way from Cairo to Aswan. 3 days. Great to see it going downriver the other way. Nicely done. But kind of bizarre and unrealistic that she was the only passenger on the SUDAN, the opulent paddle boat. Hmmm One guy with one gun is not really any protection at all from a terrorist attack.
