Israel’s series of military successes against its longtime adversary Hezbollah had raised the question of whether the militant group’s backer, Iran, would retaliate. On Tuesday, that question was answered, when Iran fired a barrage of missiles at Israel.
Patrick Kingsley, the Jerusalem bureau chief for The Times, and Farnaz Fassihi, The Times’s United Nations bureau chief, discuss how they see events developing from here.

If I lived with my wife and children in Tel Aviv, it might be a good time to emigrate to Europe, Argentina, Mexico, or the USA.
you don’t have to emigrate. You can just go home to the place where you were born.
Hi Sabrina
Have you done any reporting on your own paper’s article “Screams Without Words” and the falsehood presented within, and how your lies contributed to deaths of potentially 400k Palestinians? Or your own role in the NY Times garbage coverage of the Gaza genocide?
Another question Sabrina: why does your paper have the headline “Israel’s attacks against Hezbollah had largely been concentrated in the south and near Beirut. But Hamas said a strike in the north had killed one of its commanders.” when it’s clear that they have been and are still targeting civilians in Gaza and now Lebanon? Do you just take what the IDF or US government says even though it’s been clear for a year now that they have been lying about almost everything?
I’m just wondering what level of unethical garbage journalism is acceptable for you? It appears, since you were involved in contributing to the misinformation that started a genocide, that you have zero ethics but I’m just wondering, is there a point where you will come to terms with your own complicity in the murder of 100s of thousands of civilians?
No?
So listening and reading all these..can i ask: wont these two nations use common sense for peace to prevail? would anyone who is old or teen like to live in such places? War affects mostly the old and kids…response or no response, unnecessary attacks and how quick it happens..who suffers? The kids, women and aged people.
