I went and saw it with my daughter…I knew it was a musical but the last “musical” I saw was Emilia Perez on Netflix so I kinda expected equal if not lesser break out into song and more dialogue… .. DEFINITELY WASNT THE CASE. I’m not the biggest musical fan so my attention strayed and I fell asleep multiple times.
However…the times I was awake and lucid. It looked like a GREAT MOVIE.. the cinematography was absolutely phenomenal. And the actors did a great enough job… The ending tho…was pretty captivating. The sequence of events and the song the main protagonist was signing.. along with the way it just went to the credits…got a standing ovation from patrons in the specific screening I saw of it.. if you’re a fan of WOO… Or musicals I’m guessing you’ll love it
Ariana Grande basically stole the show. Kinda glad, I always hate when someone gets cast in an acting role and people find dumb reasons to pick it apart because she wasn’t their fantasy casting.
