Disseminating fear. There are tons of ridiculous lowball offers by “investors” – OpenDoor and investors are lowballing offers by about $200K on homes in our area compared to the eventual sales prices.
It’s simple economics: something is only worth x dollars IF someone is willing to buy it for that price- so you can say your property is worth a billion if you want- but it is only worth it if someone actually wants to buy it at a billion…

100% agreed, not just the housing market, but any market that exchanges goods or services for money. I’m priced high for my area, however my service isn’t replaced by any of my “competitors” simply because they don’t have the capabilities that I have.
