This means publicly happy Mustard and Mabrey. If I was a Sun player, I wouldn’t want to hear for the rest of my life, that we only won because Caitlin Clark got injured in the first game possible. I want to beat a team that’s 100% on the court. Enough is enough! This kind of stupidity is going to make fans turn away and hope that Caitlin can go play somewhere else next year. If this is what the league was like before this year, no wonder all the players were anonymous.

   1. Going after someone’s eye, potentially blinding them, is much worse than knocking someone down. Hurt is one thing, life altering injury is waaaaay more serious.

Ram her from the side, break an arm, break a collarbone, etc. Trip her as she running the floor, break a wrist, break a leg, etc. ANYTHING could have happened, ending her year or possibly career. ALL of it should have been addressed at that time.

7. So what did all those other women do for the WNBA? Did they get millions of dollars for the players because they were making money, or private jets, did they increase viewership of the WNBA 500-1000 percent. Were they so compelling that every sports channel was talking about them like they were important? So we can minimize their contributions, because they made it unwatchable, they made it to where they lost 50 million every single year without fail, they had to leech off of the NBA just to get paid. They missed easy layups two-point shots and 3-point shots more often then they made them. That’s what they brought.

13. I’ve been watching some of the non CC games. Even when the top teams are playing each other, the half court game is boring. The running game is not boring. When CC forces the other team to run, they respond and the game is exciting. Turning around ass out at the 3 point line is boring.

    The other WNBA games on Sunday, none of which cracked the 500,000 mark. Storm-Aces 461,000 viewers, 410,000, and Mercury-Lynx 403,000 or 1,274,000 for three games or 566,000 fewer views than Clark.

    In 2024 the Fever has added 420,000 more people in the home and away seats, Fever 2023 81,336 2024 Fever 340,715, AVG attendance 17,035.75

    Fever increase of 259,379 with median ticket prices ranging from $233 to $354 do the math and that is money in the bank.

    Are the WNBA, ESPN and the Players, that dense that they would literally poke in the eye their best hope of bringing in the real money?
