On the making of SuperMan 1978, director Richard Donner said something like “you take the material seriously and not yourself”
Upon watching The Rings Of Power the opposite was applied and that’s why it sucked.
Cry harder 😂
I have never seen such a short but accurate comment. It perfectly sums up why the series is not just not good, but absolutely terrible.

3:50 Holy f***! What a wonderful transition!
This episode felt like everybody just ran in place 5 minutes at a time.
Putting Miriel back on the throne means the last episode was pointless. All that nonsense with the eagles.
And just more Celebrimbor and Anatar dialogue we already seen for like four episodes. Just pick the best and make an episode about it. And then you could have concentrated more on his character earlier on, should we actually care about him. He’s not some stick figure that makes rings.
Adar convincing Galadriel to tell him who Halbrand was was good, but it did not need three scenes. And the result should have been a battle, not a cliffhanger.
The Gandalf stuff was pointless. There are a million ways to get a character to choose between two characters. Do I save this one or that one? Generally speaking, it’s cheap melodrama If you don’t use it for other reasons. And here it’s barely used at all except as a cliffhanger. Basically one writer sent either Let’s have Gandalf chews between saving middle-earth and saving Nori! And that’s exactly the dialogue.
It’s really bad writing.
Celebrimbor and Sauron are the best parts of the show lol
@@Ghost-kn9bdThem and Adar. Like they’re in one show and everything else is in another.
Its great 10 out 10
@@Ghost-kn9bd Lol? I think what is really funny and makes me laugh is people who are fans of Tolkien who cannot string two sentences together. Can you be a Tolkien fan and a social media troll? Don’t they stand separate from each other?
The King’s Party: “Strange sea serpents spitting out monarchs is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.”
I think the population of Númenor will continue to be divided between the faithful and the king’s men and the power struggle will continue.
This episode was awesome. Do not stop producing. If you ask me, it can go on forever. 🏹
Scrap the wizard and the halflings from the show and it’s actually good
I have faith their storyline will all pay off in a bigger way than it has yet.
You made me laugh, nothing about this shows comes together. You are irritated by the harfoots because they stop the flow and the ever-going distraction of the next scene from the previous one. Once its taken and you are left to reflect on it in front of the harfoots, you realise its empty and you feel nothing anymore.
Episode 6 is my favorite so far. The tension between the characters rises, between Celebrembor and Sauron, between the dwarf king and his son, between Galadriel and Adar. And Sauron is magnificent
Galadriel is so stupid in series
If you don’t like the show then don’t watch videos about and leave useless negative comments
@@annamariamott3080 ı like the show but ı dont like Galadriel
absolutely shameful show.
Episode was insanely good!!! 🫶🏻
Exactly!! 🩷
please cancel after this season… the screenplay is so poor
The music is fantastic. Congratulations to all who have a hand in it! The orchestra tuning moment is smart — I’ve got to re-watch now.
What creativity? They have just stolen everything from the jackson films and the books. Still they can’t make a good show???
This episode was incredible the whole last half of this episode left me with my jaw dropped, how Sauron’s plans are being fully implemented is incredible, such great music and acting! 🩷🩷
An orchestra warming up has long been one of my favourite sounds, there’s something so exciting in its discordance. So the idea of it being used to tee up Sauron literally orchestrating everything is brilliant! No wonder my heart was racing during that scene, things like that get you subliminally and it’s wonderful to hear it explained here. That’s why I’ve been enjoying not just these behind-the-scenes videos but some of the deep-dives done by other Tolkien fans – it’s fun to peel apart all the deliberate details put in by the artists that work on this show.
Who else thought he was the dark wizard 😅
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just love this series
remove the harfoots
Please just focus on Sauron and the rings!!! Dont complicate it!
Who else wants a twelve hour documentary all about Bear’s work on this series?
