2. I’m french, from Paris, and I could go to several events, matches, etc… during these Olympic Games. Due to a very high risk of terrorist attacks or bombings during these games (many attempts have been foiled by the french police, and even today 6 kilos of explosives and numerous weapons of war were found again in an apartment located near the Stade de France, where last week the track and filds events took place every day in front of nearly 75,000 people), the security measures were really very important during these games (policemen everywhere, roadblocks, etc.). After the end of the men’s basketball final, while Emmanuel Macron (the french president) was preparing to leave the stadium (where he was), the french policemen seen in this video received the order not to let anyone pass where they were for 5 to 10 minutes. But Stephen Curry’s wife and mother visibly tried to pass there to get to their car. In this same video, we clearly hear these policemen explaining it to them (very politely) and that they must therefore wait. So, first of all, if this baby was, at some point, hit, it could only be accidental (do you seriously think that a policeman could attack a baby and/or its young mother ?). And the young policeman in the yellow jacket who is clearly the one accused of this tells his superiors 2 times that he did not touch this baby. Sorry, but the United States is not the only country in the world where the security of a head of state comes before that of ordinary individuals, even if they belong to a celebrity’s family. Given the way she behaved towards french policemen (including a major), Stephen Curry’s mother, given her son’s celebrity in the USA, seems to consider herself above the law. She will now know that this is not the case everywhere in the world, starting with countries in which basketball is very far from being a major sport and where 90% of the population does not know who her son is… 🙂 And she should be ashamed of having behaved like a “diva” with policemen who, throughout all the duration of these Olympic games, spent their days and nights ensuring the safety of others… including her own and that of her family members !
