Dak over Purdy is laughable. Purdy destroyed Dak head to head. And for the season Purdy put up similar stats while throwing the ball 150 less times. Dak falls apart in the playoffs while Purdy led his team to the Super Bowl and was leading against Mahomes in regulation and overtime. Even Jerry Jones doesnât have faith in Dak

I have a 3-tier QB rating system that I think is as close to perfection as possible
Tier 1: Game Breaker – QBs that elevate the talent around them and as long as they’re on the field, you’ll always have a shot at a Super Bowl
Tier 2: Game Executer – QBs that are excellent, even MVP-worthy when they have good talent around them. But aren’t able to elevate talent around them to play above themselves.
Tier 3: Game Manager – QBs that aren’t going to do much to win games for a team, but their main objective is to not be the reason why your team loses. Usually not a long-term solution, but can be a good bridge to the next QB.
EVERY QB that has ever played, falls into at least 1 of these 3 tiers. If I’m wrong, you’ll have to prove it.

In regard to the ESPN top 10 QB list, the top 2 is exactly right. Also, Purdy not in the top 10 is correct, too. He kinda sucked during those few games in which he didn’t have his main guys on the field. Kinda like how Andy Dalton and AJ Green kinda sucked when they didn’t have each other.
Go back and look at Purdyâs numbers against the Vikings and Bengals. In the Browns game, go back to the come back drive. Still not convinced, go back to the previous season when he was missing guys and still found ways to win games. Lastly, if it was all about the talent around him, how did the 48ers do with the backup QB after the Eagles knocked him out in the championship game?
