Louisiana locals blame everything from hurricanes to high crime rates on a 100-year-old curse invoked by hoodoo priestess Aunt Julia Brown.

As just one guy was shown saying very briefly- Louisiana has been a natural wetlands for this part of North America every since this continent has existed. What do wetlands do? They exist to take in and absorb the water from these hurricanes that spin up. These fierce hurricanes aren’t something new. But, mankind destroying these wetlands by logging and building cities and other infrastructure is and as a result-the devastation in 1915 and more recently from Katrina. This part of America wasn’t meant to have cities, bridges, etc. or is even viable enough to sustain such things. I think Auntie knew this just because she was so connected to nature and a keen observer. And, she saw what mankind was doing to the land. She simply put it all together. Her dying before that hurricane was a very strange coincidence just like so many others.
Anywhere there were enslaved black Americans has been cursed… Look at Africa and America they still suffer after never making it right with slavery and keeping ancestral hatred and racism going. The universe has a way of balancing itself out
